Halloween

A really lovely afternoon was had by many following the Spider Web trail finding out interesting spider facts,  making witches brooms, magic wands, spooky biscuits, natural inks and writing spells with quills, learning about ingredients in the witches natural apothecary, telling stories and toasting marshmallows. Unbelievably the weather was gorgeous but most of all a big thanks must go to the team of helpers who turned out on the day to make it all happen.

Natural Ampitheatre

Work has started in the quarry on the Amphitheater we now have it cleared and first stage landscaping complete. The natural acoustics are amazing and the site has huge potential for shows, music, cinema and events. We will see over time how things develop…?? If your group has an interest in music or drama and is in need of a truly unique venue for workshops, events or a show please get in touch.

Our Woodland Adventures, Chrystal Challenge, Fairy Frolics and Treasure Dragons parties continue to be firm favorites but we have had a small selection of specialist parties to include Mine-craft, Dr Who, Peter Pan and Hunger Games all of which were just great fun, very creative and well received. Plus a couple of chilled out grown up parties too!!

Twiglet Puppy Power!

We always have fun at Twiglets but our last sessions was something extra special. Wildways Dog Ruby a Parsons Jack Russel Terrier gave birth to six pups 8 weeks ago. Today was the day when the group finally got to meet them….to say they went down a storm is an understatement. The pups and children had the most amazing time, pushing pups in wheel barrows, nursing them in the wildlife hospital, reading them stories, sharing mud pies in the mud kitchen, swinging in the hammocks together and just cuddling in the bluebells. It was such a special session shame they have to grow up but the memories will last forever. They have all found new homes now except for George who will be joining us forever.

Saltash Rugby Club Camp Out

Saltash Rugby Club Under 9’s came to visit us for our first camp out. The Camp was a great success and enjoyed by young and old. Starting with team building games in the field, a tracks and trails leading to buried treasure, den building, whittling toasting forks for sausages and  marshmallows plus glow in the dark sticks for nighttime adventures. Finally we made our way back to our tents for a star filled nights sleep….even the drizzle in the morning couldn’t dampen spirits. In the morning a fantastic breakfast was enjoyed by all, cooked on the fire with dens being revisited and ample time for fee play and wood;and adventures.
